What Is a Custom Status?
Sometimes a listing is off-market for a few days and showings need to be prevented for a short time. With Front Desk, your office manager can set up custom statuses to prevent appointments temporarily or for a longer-term. These custom statuses can be created and/or edited in the ShowingTime Front Desk Control Panel.
ShowingTime asks three basic questions when creating a custom status.
Please Note: Incorrect configuration of the status can block appointments or hide listings. You can work with ShowingTime Support to configure custom statuses.
- Is the listing showable?
- Is there a listing agreement between the seller and the office?
- Is the listing already sold or just a few steps away from being sold?
You will need to provide a name for the custom status that your office will understand and then choose the correct combination of settings.
- Is Showable - Is the listing available for an appointment?
- Has Listing Contract - is everything set up between the seller and the listing office to allow for a sale?
- Has Sales Contract - Is the listing sold or pending?

When the status changes in the multiple listing service and syncs with ShowingTime, your custom status will be cleared.
