Listing Sync FAQ
ShowingTime works with your association, board, and/or multiple listing service to pull listing data automatically.
Below you will find information on issues that may affect this synchronization.
- My Listing has not pulled into ShowingTime
- My Listing is already in the system, but the Status or Price is Wrong
- I have an “Incoming”, “Coming Soon”, or “Incomplete” listing and I want it to be showable
- Can I enter a private or pocket listing into ShowingTime?
- I am logged into my account but I do not see my listings. What can I do?
- My Listing Exists on two boards how do I combine them?
- My Listing is missing a Listing Photo. What can I do?
- My Listing is Pending or Under Contract.
- My Listing has not pulled into ShowingTime.
- Listings pull in from your Real-Estate board through a RETS feed ShowingTime has set up with them. ShowingTime will check the RETS feed and receive updates every 15 to 30 minutes. If it has been longer than 30 minutes, please review the list below to troubleshoot why your listing has not come over yet.
- The listing is not set to be publicly viewable on the MLS. Generally, ShowingTime will not receive listings that are private or pocket listings. If it doesn’t show on public sites like Trulia or Zillow, ShowingTime will not have it either.
- The listing needs to be set to be available to internet sites. There can be a setting inside your MLS listing configuration that toggles if the listing is available to internet sites. This toggle can be called different things in different markets. Sometimes it is called “Internet” or “IDX” or “Publish to Internet Portals”. This toggle needs to be set to Yes for your listing to be included in ShowingTime’s RETS feed.
- The listing status needs to be a Showable status. Generally, listings that are in an “Incoming”, “Coming Soon”, or “Incomplete” Status are not included in ShowingTime’s RETS feed. Once the listing changed to an “Active” or “New” status it will pull over.
In some cases, Coming Soon listings may appear in ShowingTime, but will not allow appointments to be scheduled until a date in the future.
- My Listing is already in the system, but the status or price is incorrect.
- Go through the steps above. The same settings that prevent a listing from appearing in ShowingTime can also prevent updates to information. This is especially true with “Incoming”, “Coming Soon”, or “Incomplete” listings. If you entered showing instructions into ShowingTime through your board's web site, it will create the listing on ShowingTime’s side as a place holder.
This is done so you can enter instructions before-hand so that your listing is ready to go as soon as it is active and "showable" in your board. - I have an “Incoming”, “Coming Soon”, or “Incomplete” listing and I want it to be showable.
- If you currently subscribe to the ShowingTime Appointment Center or ShowingTime Front Desk software package you can use the In-House status configuration to set this up.
These are found under the Listing Data Tab at the top of your listing worksheet. If you currently do not have any in-house status’s available please reach out to ShowingTime Support to create them for you. - Can I enter a private or pocket listing into ShowingTime?
- If you currently subscribe to the ShowingTime Appointment Center or ShowingTime Front Desk software package you can manually enter a listing. Please see the knowledgebase for your product below for information on how to do this.

Manually adding a listing can also be done if you do not want to wait for the listing to sync up from the MLS. Just be sure to use the same Listing ID or MLS number that the listing has inside your board. However, this is not recommended. In most cases, listings will come over within 15 to 30 minutes of going live in the MLS. - I am logged into my account but I do not see my listings. What can I do?
- If you belong to more than one board/association, you will need to link your accounts together so you can see all your listings with a single login. Linking accounts can only be done from the desktop platform. For information on how to link your accounts together please see our help site below.
Linking your accounts in ShowingTime.
Check the Archives. If your listing, went into inactive status for some period of time it could have been auto-archived. Archived listings can only be viewed and reactivated from the desktop platform. Please see our help site below.
How to Reactivate a listing
Make sure you are the primary listing agent on the listing in your board. If you are a Co-Listing agent, we do get this information in some boards but not all. For information on how to add Co-Listing agents to your listing in ShowingTime, click here. - My Listing Exists in two boards how do I combine them?
- You can merge listings together so any requests regardless of what board they came from are all logged under one listing. If you belong to multiple boards make sure your accounts are linked so you can see both copies of the listing under one login. Merging listings can only be done from the desktop platform. Please see our help site below for information on how to do this.
How to merge a listing in ShowingTime - My Listing is missing a Listing Photo. What can I do?
- Due to the size of photos, they can take a little longer to download from the MLS then listing data. Generally, photos will take a couple of hours to pull in but can take as long as overnight.
- My Listing is Pending or Under Contract.
-
In most markets, when a listing goes to an Under Contract or Pending status ShowingTime will automatically block showing appointments and only allow inspections, appraisals, and final walkthroughs. However, if you currently subscribe to the ShowingTime Appointment Center or ShowingTime Front Desk software package you can configure the in-house status to temporarily override the MLS status.
These are found under the Listing Data Tab at the top of your listing worksheet. If you currently do not have any in-house statuses available please reach out to ShowingTime Support to create them for you.
